In just ten minutes, you and your child can go on a nature walk to identify various textures. This activity is perfect for preschoolers! Invite your child to go for a short walk outside with you.
While you are walking, point out various objects and how they feel different to touch. Encourage your child to touch the objects so they can feel the different textures. For example, tree bark feels rough while stones feel smooth. Look for other objects that feel sticky, prickly, squishy, jagged, and more! This is a great way to get some fresh air and experience nature while learning about science!
