In just ten minutes, you and your child can play “follow the leader.” Involve your whole family and choose one person to be the leader.
The leader moves around the house marching, crawling, jumping, singing, or moving in any way she chooses. Everyone else follows the leader’s actions, words, or vocalizations. Set a timer for two minutes. Then choose a new leader and follow his movements, words, and vocalizations.
This is a quick, simple, fun game that can be played inside your house or outside at the park. You can even play in a modified way while waiting at a doctor’s office or a restaurant by restricting the movements to moving hands, arms, heads, and faces while sitting and changing vocalizations to whispers.
