Cookie Decorating with Grandparents: A Sweet 10-Minute Activity for Kids

In just ten minutes, your child and their grandparent can decorate cookies. Combine a box of cake mix, two eggs, and one-third cup of vegetable for an easy batch of cookie dough. Pre-measure your oil and let your child dump the ingredients into the bowl and mix. Show them how to roll ball of dough with their fingers and smash the dough flat on the cookie sheet.

The cookies are delicious with or without frosting. Allow your child to focus on the fun, and praise them for their patience as they wait until after the cookies bake and cool to take their first bite!
