DIY Kids Craft: Make Your Own Wrapping Paper in 10 Minutes

activities for kids

In just ten minutes, you and your child can make your own wrapping paper.

If you have gifts to wrap, take a few minutes to help your child make your own signature wrapping paper. Cut down one of the sides of a paper grocery bag and cut out the bottom so you have a long rectangle. Place the printed side of the grocery bag down so you have a plain surface to decorate.

Depending on the age and skill level of your child, you and your child can decorate the wrapping paper with crayons, stickers, or paint. You can also get creative using household items as stamps or templates. Paint the bottom of a muffin tin to create large polka dots, dip a star-shaped cookie cutter in paint to form the outline of a star, or trace a mason jar ring to create a ring or a circle.
