Sing, Rhyme, and Giggle: 10 Minutes of Family Fun with “Down by the Bay”

In just ten minutes, you and your child can enjoy a fun rhyming song called, “Down by the Bay.”

The energetic chorus goes like this: Down by the bay where the watermelons grow, back to my home I dare not go. For if I do, my mother will say . . . “

Now is the fun part! You can make up your won verse or sing the verses we provide with two rhyming words! “Have you ever seen a SNAIL learning to SAIL? . . . Have you ever seen a SNAKE baking a CAKE? . . . Have you ever seen a DOG kissing a FROG?”

You can also make up a verse for each family member’s name, such as “Have you ever seen BOB eating corn on the COB?” Have fun playing with rhyme!
