In just ten minutes, you and your one-year-old can have fun counting fingers together.
Hold your child’s hands and gently wiggle each finger as you count out loud: “One, two, three…” all the way to ten. Encourage them to copy you by holding up their fingers one at a time. If they’re not yet ready to imitate, simply model the counting and make it playful! Your touch and voice are the most wonderful part of this learning activity for your child.
