Library I Spy: A 10-Minute Game to Play With Your Child

In just ten minutes, you and your child can play “I spy” at your local library. Head to the children’s section and pull two books from a bookshelf. Then describe something from the cover of one of the books by saying, “I spy with my little eye, something blue” (or “giant” or “scary”). After your child identifies the item, switch roles and have her give the next clue. Expand your game to other items in the children’s section, like games, puzzles, stuffed animals, or furniture. Finish your trip to the library by finding a few books to borrow and take home.
