In just ten minutes you and your child can make a picture grocery list. Using store flyers you receive in the mail or can find at the grocery store, sit down with your child and talk about the things you will need purchase on your next food shopping trip. If your child is old enough to use scissors, help them cut out pictures of needed items and glue them to a piece of paper. You will enjoy another shared experience when you take your child grocery shopping with you, list in hand! Plan extra time to allow your shopping helper to find the items from the list. Show them how to check each purchase off their list with a marker once you have placed them in your cart!
