In just ten minutes, you and your child can play follow-the-directions with sidewalk chalk.
Take a piece of sidewalk chalk outside to the sidewalk or patio outside your house. Draw a few simple shapes, such as a circle, a square, and a triangle.
Play follow-the-directions related to the shapes. For example, “Stand in the square.” “Jump out of the square.” “Stand next to the circle.” “Run to the triangle.” “March around the circle.” Take turns giving and following directions.
