In just ten minutes, you can hunt for colors. While waiting at a doctor’s office or a restaurant, play a simple game of “Color Hunt.” Call out a color and invite your child to find one item in the room that matches that color. Switch roles and take turns with your child.
Depending on your child’s age and skill level, you can make the game easier by point to objects and naming the colors first or you can make the game more difficult by using richer color vocabulary such as “aqua,” “plum,” and “navy.”
