In just ten minutes, you and your child can go on a supermarket scavenger hunt. The next time you go to the grocery store with your child, spend a little extra time in the produce section. Look at and name the fruits and vegetables you see. Talk about the colors, the textures, and the scents. Try using interesting descriptive words that you don’t usually use with your child, such as, “ripe,” “crunch,” “stem,” and “bitter.”
