Watch It Grow: Start a Simple Garden with Your Child in Just 10 Minutes

In just ten minutes you and your child can begin a garden!

Wet a paper towel. Place seeds or dried beans into the paper towel. Put them into a ziplock bag and seal it. Tape this bag to a sunlit window that your child is able to see and monitor. Encourage your child to check on it daily.

When the seeds or beans have sprouted, place them in a small cup of dirt. Set the cup in the sun until the plants are big enough to be transferred to the ground! Encourage your child to help tend to the plants by watering, pruning, and harvesting them!
