In just ten minutes, you and your child can take the tape challenge.
Take a long piece of painter’s tape and stick it across a doorway, an inch above the ground. Ask your child, “Can you go over the tape or under the tape?” Because it is so close to the ground, you will both need to step over the tape. Then move the tape up a few inches across the doorframe. Again, ask your child, “Can you go over the tape or under the tape?” At some point as the tape gets higher up across the door frame, your child will be able to go under the tape, but you will still need to go over the tape. Keep moving the tape up the doorframe and repeat the activity until you both can crawl under or walk under the tape.
