Light Up Learning: A 10-Minute Flashlight Game Your Child Will Love

In just ten minutes, you and your child can have a flashlight tour of your family room. Turn off some of the lights or close the blinds so the room is a little darker than usual but not completely dark.

Give your child a flashlight and name something in the room. Ask your child to find it and shine the flashlight on the named object. If your child has more language, try describing items instead of naming them. Take turns naming or describing items and finding them with the flashlight. Make sure to show them how to turn the flashlight off when you have finished this fun game!
