In just ten minutes, you and your child can play a “find the shape” game. Have your child look around your environment and find things that are the shape you name (i.e. find something that is a circle).
Ask them to count how many items of a shape they can find (“How many squares do you see? Let’s count them together)”. Expand on learning by helping them find more items that are certain shapes or talking about the colors, sizes and positions of each item.
