In just ten minutes, you and your child can take a wet or snowy nature walk.
If the colder months brings rainy or snowy weather to your area, take advantage of the change in weather to explore the outdoors together. Put on weather appropriate clothing and boots and head outside. If it’s raining, stop and observe how the rain splashes in puddles on the sidewalk and talk about how the leaves on the ground look when they are wet. Maybe even jump in a few puddles together! Talk about what it feels like to be wet. If it’s snowing, talk about how the plants and bushes look different with snow on them and observe how the snow makes everything sound quiet. If there is enough snow, lay down and make snow angels together. Talk about how your angels are different sizes.
