Splash & Play: A 10-Minute Sponge Relay for Kids

In just ten minutes, you can create a sponge relay.

Gather two bowls and a clean sponge and head outside to your patio or porch. Fill one bowl with water and invite your child to move all the water from one bowl to the other by soaking the sponge with water from the filled bowl, then squeezing out the water into the empty bowl. Take turns filling and wringing out the sponge to transfer all the water.

You can place the two bowls right next to each other to make the game easier or separate the bowls, requiring walking a few steps in between, to make the game more difficult.
