In just ten minutes you and your child can play table hockey.
Want a quick diversion while waiting for your food to arrive at a restaurant? Sit across the table from your child and take the paper off two straws. Make a few “hockey pucks” (paper balls) out of the straw wrappers. Use the straws as hockey sticks and the paper balls as the pucks. You can either hit the paper balls back and forth or, for added difficulty blow through the straws to move the ball. Blowing through the straws will help your child build the muscles in the face and mouth needed for speech. That is a great added bonus!
